We’re excited to welcome leashed, friendly pets at May the 4th – Louisiana, and we can’t wait to see them dressed in Star Wars-themed costumes! Don’t miss the chance to enter your dog in our Pet Costume Contest—because every Jedi (or Sith) deserves a furry sidekick.

Leash & Cleanup Etiquette

While tutus and lightsaber outfits are super cute, it’s important that dogs are on leashes at all times. Please remember to clean up after your pet—bring poop bags and dispose of waste properly. Local authorities may issue fines for dogs off-leash or for owners who don’t clean up after their pets.

Respecting Others

Not everyone may share your excitement for your dog, so please be considerate of personal space while enjoying the festival. Keep your pup under control, especially in busy areas.

Aggressive Dogs

If your dog tends to be aggressive, it’s best to leave them at home. The owner is solely responsible for their pet’s actions, and May the 4th – Louisiana cannot be held liable for any incidents involving pets.
